The food was delicious, however, the dining area was uncomfortably cold. When my husband requested to close the door, the waitress provided a vague excuse as to why she couldn't accommodate us. Her lack of assistance left me no choice but to leave most of my meal behind as I am currently recovering from lung cancer and the cold air was aggravating my condition. Disappointing service overall.

An underwhelming experience. The bistro lacks atmosphere, furnishings a worn and it could do with a makeover. Evening menu was limited and main courses were over priced for the quality. We got new potatoes that were hards and undercooked. Deserts were great. Overall disappointing wouldn’t return or recommend to others.

We visited the Nant Ddu Bistro restaurant on 29th. May 2023 for the first time since lockdown. We like this particular place because of it’s beautiful setting and pleasant atmosphere. The staff were efficient and pleasant and the food was ok but nothing spectacular for the price charged. The negative part of my review is that the prices on the online menu for the Nant Ddu are cheaper than the actual prices now being charged. This is very misleading and needs updating. I did mention it to the young man taking the payment. The prawn cocktail starter was £8 and not £7: The sirloin steak was £29.00 and not £26.00. And the Pork loin was £20.00 and not £18.00. This particular meal was therefore £6.00 more expensive than we thought it would be. I checked online again the day after and as yet it has not been updated! Thought the food was rather overpriced to be honest.

Fantastic quality food served by amazing staff. Good menu options. Highly recommend. I would definitely go again.

After spending a few hours in the leisure facilities, we had lunch at the restaurant, where the staff were welcoming and friendly, and the food portions were generous and served hot. My girlfriend enjoyed her treatments, and since I opted out of mine, they gave her some extra time for more treatments. She was very impressed with the spa facilities and the professionalism of the staff. For dinner, we ordered the lamb shoulder, which turned out to be one of the best lamb dishes we have ever had. The dessert was also delicious. Our room was spacious with a beautiful river view, a large bed, and was clean. We enjoyed a complimentary breakfast before checking out, which was also of a high standard. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would recommend the spa packages to others as good value for money. The only minor criticism would be that the carpets in the main hallways were dated, threadbare, and stained. However, the carpets in the rooms were fine. If they were to replace these carpets, I wouldn't have any complaints about this wonderful spa hotel.
