Erika's Mexican Grill - Merrillville

Good prices but the flavors were very different. Not in a good way. The steak was extremely fatty. I got steak tacos and had to spit fat out every bite I took. Wasn’t a fan of the salsa. This place just isn’t for me. The rice was pretty good though.

My fiancée and I came here hoping that the restaurant would have replaced the previous one as great. It was even better than we hoped! The Tilapia Tacos were to die, and the cheese dip and guacamole dip were perfect! All we had was amazing!! So excited to be down the street from this wonderful restaurant!

My first visit, cute little place and is very clean inside. The steak tacos are very good, the meat has decent flavor and it was not fatty at all. The shrimp tacos were not impressive, it was like the shrimp were ground up so the texture wasn't what I expected, I would not order again. The guac was way too chocked full of onion, tomato, cilantro and not enough avocado so it was more like a chunky side salad that I did not like it at all. And the chips were stale, yuk! The beans are some of the worst I have ever had, and the rice was just ok. If I came back, I will get the steak tacos and pass on everything else.

I ordered for the first time and everything was delicious! The pastor burrito was fantastic, and the flan was amazing. My only complaint is that the guacamole tasted more like pico de gallo with just a hint of avocado.
