Bidrage med feedbackNow, let's get to the good stuff. The portions of meat were generous and flavorful. At the time of my visit, they only had three options: carnitas, asada, and pollo, which may have been because it was early in the day. The waitress also asked if I preferred shredded or grilled chicken; I opted for the grilled. The chicken was tasty, well-seasoned, and not dry, although it was diced a bit smaller than I'm used to, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The asada was decent—neither heavily seasoned nor juicy, but it wasn't dry and was definitely more than just a skirt steak taco. The carnitas, on the other hand, were excellent: crispy and meaty, and all the meats were generously portioned. The one drawback was the tortillas, which were just taken straight from the bag—definitely not grilled. If they had served fresh tortillas that were grilled hot with a touch of oil or lard, these tacos would have been outstanding, especially paired with the fiery habanero salsa. I also asked for salsa verde, and the waitress brought out a fresh, hot salsa that was a vibrant orange, likely made from tomatillos and habanero. I only needed a little to add the perfect amount of heat. As for prices, my boss picked up the tab (thanks, Brian!), but from what I could see, the tacos were probably around $3.50 to $4 each. I would happily pay that for the size of the tacos if the tortillas matched the quality of the fillings. I'd love to see this restaurant invest a bit more time into their tortillas—perhaps frying them or using double layers would elevate the tacos to a whole new level. They are currently understaffed, but if it's not super busy, that wasn't much of an issue.
I visited this restaurant while on my way to Washington, and I must say, the food and drinks were absolutely wonderful—full of flavor and delicious! I highly recommend it!
The food is incredible, and the staff is fantastic! They truly went above and beyond for us, and we are very grateful for it. We will definitely return!
Was out for Cinco de Mayo festivities looking for food. Had seen this place offered molcajete. Ordered it up! Missed the cactus...not too bad. More salty than expected. The margarita mix was just a mix. Server didn't know. It's a nice festive place. They were short handed with only one cook and a volunteer server.Kid-friendliness: Colorful
We dined on Cinco de Mayo. Unfortunately they are extremely short staffed. The two young women serving were very friendly, but overwhelmed. Yet they did check in frequently and were very apologetic. We orders a molcajete. They ran out of nopales so we ended up with chicken beef and pork. The food was cooked well and tasty. A bit to salty for our preferences. The portion size was very generous
