6:01 Local At The Threefoot - Meridian

The restaurant is very nice. Service was great and food was excellent.

We LOVE 6:01. However, we had reservations last Friday, got a sitter for our kids, and when we arrived they were closed for a private event. Everywhere else downtown has quite a wait since we didn’t have a reservation there. So I would call to verify if reserving for a weekend!

When our server was filling glasses of water for us, she noticed something on one glass. She rubbed it off with her finger and rather than giving us a new, clean glass, gave us the one she had just rubbed with her finger. She brought us menus and a drink menu that was marked up with an ink pen, noting which drinks to keep and which ones to modify. I ordered a crab cake appetizer to start, then shrimp and grits for my appetizer. My wife ordered the redfish special. My crab cakes were brought after our entrees. My wife's fish was supposed to come with red potatoes and broccolini. It came on rice with no vegetables. Our server had to return to the kitchen and come back with green beans, which were over cooked. Neither entree had much flavor although my shrimp were cooked properly. Not a very impressive restaurant, but a really nice space.

The restaurant was pretty empty. Only 3 tables seated. But the waitress was great and the food was amazing! The bartender would make recommendations and she even told my friend that she wasn’t going to like one of the drinks she ordered so she ordered something else. Overall it was a great experience and we can’t wait to go back.

Most of the food was excellent. My meal was not great. I had the veggie stir fry. Not real tasty.
