Bidrage med feedbackThe hotel and restaurant are no longer open, infact the front is boarded up. There are no signs to indicate if they are remodeling or just closed.
This restaurant has been in operation at the same location for over years. La Reina De Montejo has always been a small place right on the Paseo de Montejo and open until late. It serves and excellent Trolebus and Cuban Sandwiches. But my favorites...are the shaved ice mixed with local fruits on a hot day (my favorite is the Tamarind)
No, the person before me is wrong, La Reina is still open. The location listed it as away. I have sent in a location correction to TripAdvisor, but it's across from the Conquistador hotel. This is a DIVE, people. Plastic table, crappy atmosphere, but...that's how it goes. It's been in business for years, so you know something's right. People rave about their tortas but I'm not a huge torta fan. What I really like here is their turkey (pavo) and I could eat their turkey tostadas ALL DAY LONG. There's no alcohol, but go for their fresh juices. They only list orange juice on the menu, but I am a big fan of their fresh pineapple juice. None of the staff speak English, so you'll just have to deal with it. Want good cheap food in a very traditional dive? Here you go.
