Seriously-best food in the city. Super cheap and delicious! Guacamole is incredible and my super picky gringo kids loved it too. I had steak and mushroom tacos. Sounds weird-but was amazing!

Yeah, I am that guy who asks the waiter what his favorite item is on the menu. I pray to the high heavens they will not say everything is good or worse yet, what do you like? . My waiter took the menu out of my hands and speedily listing numerous items that I had no idea what they were. So, just to stop him from listing every item on the menu, I interrupted him and said OK, I will have that . His last word spoken was, Mondongo . After he left the table to place my order, google translate was able to provide me with the forewarning that I just ordered tripe soup. I considered chasing after him to change my order but decided to just grin and bear it. And, if all else fails, I am sure they have numerous hot peppers, salsas and sauces to overpower the flavor of this internal organ that previously I could not stomach. My soup arrived with a side plate of freshly sliced jalapenos and onion greens. Liking spicy food and fearing for the worst, I added plenty of peppers and onions which proved to add more freshness and flavor than spice. This mondongo had a clear broth and possessed a variety of mexican meats, was plentiful with tripe, garbanzo beans and much to my surprise, amazingly good flavor. I have now had their mondongo three times and each time have appreciated this tripe-centric dish more and more. I returned on other occasions to try their pastor which was prepared on an open spit. They do serve beer but no alcohol (not sure about wine). There is both indoor as well as outdoor seating on the sidewalk overlooking Avenida Itzaes ' traffic. Excellent prices, excellent mondongo, average/good ambiance, good service, right across from the zoo.

El pastor estaba demasiado secooooooooo quizás sería el único pero q le pondría aun no he probado lo demás pero si deben de ver q no esté muy seco o no se si sea recalentado

Un restaurante bastante sabroso y tranquilo. El precio es bueno, pero a veces el servicio es lento o los camareros ni siquiera te prestan atención. Por lo demás, todo está bien.

Estuvo bien todo pero se puede mejorar en todos los aspectos, el pastor está bueno en presentaciones como gringa o burrito pero en tacos flanquean mucho, aparte que están algo caros, el servicio estuvo bien y fue rápido y el lugar está un poco descuidado pero cómodo, saca del apuro y es una opción decente para comer por el rumbo.
