Bidrage med feedbackI have frequented this restaurant both alone and with my wife, and we've consistently enjoyed the food and found the service to be friendly. The owner is typically present, ensuring everything runs smoothly. They often feature a special on the menu as well. Be sure to try their special rolls listed on the blackboard as an appetizer or alongside your main dish—you won't be disappointed!
Sushi Joa provided an exceptional dining experience. As Japanese diners, we've visited numerous Japanese restaurants, and this one ranks among the best. We celebrated my mother’s 91st birthday there, and she thoroughly enjoyed it. Afterward, we had a birthday cake party, and she made sure to tell all the guests about the wonderful meal. Although we don’t often visit Mercer Island, we might come here more frequently in the future. Every positive adjective you can think of applies to this place. The only minor drawback is the small parking lot; if you arrive during peak times, you might have to park further away. However, the walk is definitely worth it. My husband ordered the Chirashi Sushi, which we believe is a key dish to evaluate a restaurant, and he loved it. It was served with a delicious 7-train roll!
I had no idea there was such an amazing restaurant on Mercer Island, especially since I’ve lived here for eight years! The bento lunch was delicious and generous in portion size. To top it off, they served the juiciest orange slices drizzled with mango syrup for dessert—pure bliss! I will definitely return; this has become my favorite spot on Mercer Island and is absolutely worth a visit if you're looking for a convenient and tasty lunch option.
The waitstaff here are incredibly friendly, and the sushi and bento box lunches are delicious. The prices are very reasonable, and parking is a breeze. I always have a great time when I come here!
This cozy little sushi spot is adorable and tends to get busy quickly, so it's best to visit during a quieter time. The monster roll was absolutely delicious, and I enjoyed the shrimp tempura roll as well. I also tried the chicken teriyaki bowl, but I was a bit disappointed as it was served on a plate instead of in a bowl, featuring a scoop of rice and primarily onions (which I'm not a fan of). However, it was quite tasty, and I ended up eating most of it. The prices are reasonable, though I noticed that the shrimp tempura roll came with only five pieces and was $3 less than the larger rolls; it essentially felt like a half roll. If you're looking for a satisfying portion, I'd recommend opting for the rolls priced at $16-18 so you won’t be let down by the amount you get. Overall, I would definitely visit again because it was good!
