Hap's Burgers Taps - Mercer Island

The food is genuinely good. I do have to dock them some points for two reasons (1) the up charge on the impossible meat patties is a little ridiculous and out of line with the industry standard (2) sometimes they aren’t good about announcing your order when it is ready.. sometimes it just sits under a heat lamp until you come ask whether or not your food is ready

Been wanting try it as I drop my wife to work right next to it. .1st time was going to but didn’t know they don’t serve till 12pm so didn’t have time . . 2nd tried order on phone before dropping her and they don’t take orders over phone . So still went in give it try . Mom went for the ride and got a chicken sandwich, it was a mess she didn’t even want eat it after 2 bites . I got the hamburger . It’s loaded with mayonnaise and I like mayo but this was over board . It’s thrown together like a mess tomato cut like a strand and l lettuce cheese half out of it . The bun is gross it’s dense and weird . The meet is very lean not juicy like a shoe sole and tasted dirty grease . Barf 8 bucks a burger that’s worse then high school food. .chicken sandwich 13 dollars that any fast food restaurant would beat .Not sure why anyone would go there ?

Fantastic food and rotating taps and great selection of cans including to go. Love the dog-friendly outdoor space and everything being eco-friendly. Highly recommended!

Just found this amazing little eatery. Warm, open outdoor seating. They were having a technical issue with their register couldn't accept cash. Wouldn't you know it, that's all I had. The owner found a work around. Really fought for my business dam, made me feel special. Thanks for the great food. Will be back asap w/wifey.

Really great food that’s high quality. Nice staff, good places to sit and eat indoor and outdoor. Only thing is it’s really expensive and the portions don’t necessarily match the price in my opinion (the shakes in particular). Still, best burger you can get on the island BY FAR.
