Bidrage med feedbackSuch a beautiful location! Right in front you find the simple, beautiful, richy Europa Hotel's view and also the majestic building of Theatre. I find it really relaxing just to have a drink and watch all the small movements: people walking, busses, cars driving But not to forget the food: always I found something for my taste and when it was possible I received attention even from the Chef, who tried the best to cook the tasty dishes from the menu. Not to forget the simple gestures like fresh home made bread or the local wines makes you feel warmer and welcomed.
Excellent and delicate salad and carpacio with ruccola and parmiggiano. Very good local wines by glasses.
I’m not sure why this restaurant has so few reviews (at the time of writing). It’s in a relatively quiet part of the centre, which may be the reason. Overall though, I enjoyed it. The mezzelune was decent, but what I enjoyed most was the patate, speck e uova which I’d consider very good indeed. We left feeling satisfied, absolutely. My only gripe would be that the staff could be a bit more cheerful and not be so focussed on staring at their phones. I actually don’t mind them using phones if the restaurant is quiet (which it was at the time) but it’s important to look up every 20 seconds to see if anyone needs service, that’s all. Anyway, that aside, it was a good meal and we would go again.
I got a totally burned calzone. I sent it back and asked for an unburned pizza. Instead of making a new one he hadn't forgotten in the oven, he came out and argued with me. He told me that 50% of a calzon should be black....yes right, because this is the first calzone I ate.... Or the fact that I also worked as a pizza baker. After my company almost ate I have an open pizza with ham and canned mushrooms.... I would not recommend this place to everyone, especially because of their approach to me as a customer. If you want to get a really nice pizza in Merano, I would recommend Gasthof Pizzeria Tanner, nice service and great pizzas with fresh ingredients and always with a perfect crust.
Worst Restaurant (snack describes it better) in the square. We ordered pizza. Spaghetti, Tyrolean Pasta and Pommes. The pizza was called disgusting, the spaghetti and the Tyrolean noodles were much too salty. The only thing that tasted good was the Pommes. Service sweaty, unkempt and argumentative. Absolutely not recommended.
