Parkway Family - Mendota

Wife and I had breakfast there Sunday April 14,2024. I ordered standard two eggs sausage and hash browns. Everything was cooked to my request but the hash browns of all things stood out. I mentioned this to the waitress and she remarked that at this restaurant the potato’s are all fresh. They DO NOT use frozen potato,s in the preparation of their version of hash browns. Well let me tell you one can taste the difference. Restaurant is clean and decorative -service was excellent and prices were very very reasonable

Never disappointed with the food or service. Good size meals. Usually have left overs.Parking: About half of the parking has a roof over.

WOW! Is all I can say! This family owned restaurant has the Best homemade food! It's made to order and definitely worth the wait! I love how they treat U like family. They are really down to earth people! We ordered Fried Chicken for an event at R church and it was fantastic! We've had Sullivans, HyVee and Walmart and this chicken beats them all!I have had many of their dishes and never left hungry and feeling well satisfied! The soups are fresh and so delicious that I have to call ahead to save me some because they run out so fast! I'll get breakfast or lunch and it's all tasty! Even their Chicken Salad is made to order and it's very delicious! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Parkway Family Restaurant! Their dedication shows how much they love people and what they do! They're only open for breakfast and lunch. They open at 6 and close at 3. Thank U Parkway for being who U are! U always make my day! ?

I got a 2 egg omelette with potatoes, ham, onions, green pepper cheese. I ordered Ice Tea Water both with Lemon. I declined toast/pancakes because I have a gluten sensitivity.Service was quick, food was prepared well and beverages were good, as it was a hot day outside!!I was really hungry, since it was well past 1 pm, and there were several tables of patrons as well as a few at the counter seats.Waitress was friendly we chatted quite a bit; the other alternative in Mendota was McDonald's; which I can't handle with all the additives in their food! My meal was not discounted at all due to no toast/pancakes, which surprised me, but this is a small business that needs to make money to stay open!I might stop in again sometime if I'm in the area try something else!
