Tuckers - Mendip

Terrible experience. The cod was completely covered in batter; it shouldn't be called fish and chips, more like batter and chips. Disappointing. We returned to show them the dry, mostly batter "fish". I prefer the fish bar called Star Bar down the street, higher quality and cheaper. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.

I love fish and chips. However the experience I had recently was as follows. The cod was over cooked in the fryer and it had more batter than actual fish. The chips were soggy and didn’t seem to have salt and vinegar on them as I did ask. My mushy peas were just disgusting. I will never go again.

I arrived a couple of minutes before opening time and was surprised to find staff arriving after me at opening time! They had to get changed so unsurprisingly the shop opened nearly five minutes late. The food was OK but the fish was very greasy...

Pretty average and the slowest service I have known in any chip shop ever. Food is acceptable but not particularly worth the wait.

Food quality is ok but not a patch on there cheddar shop. Service is Poor staff are slow and disinterested
