Mells Cafe - Mendip

Disappointing. Cake was so dry and should NOT have been sold as almost inedible surroundings ok. Not very friendly but due to close in next hour. May try again one day. Prices average

I had a delicious coffee and a generous slice of Lime and Courgette sponge at this restaurant. It was a perfect treat on a cold, wet day. I will definitely be returning in the future.

We used to pop into this cafe frequently after walking in beautiful Mells. Friendly welcome . Homemade cakes particularly the chocolate brownie. Now all you get is a frosty nod and a pathetic selection of naff cakes. No wonder the queues at the excellent Mes Amis in Beckington have increased.

I had a coffee at this cafe. It was very small, so there was no room for social distancing and the ventilation wasn't great. The coffee was good, but the waitress wasn't very welcoming or friendly. On a positive note, I enjoyed the community knitting aspect of the cafe.

Lovely little local village cafe which we've been visiting for a few years now mainly via riding our bikes along the cycle path. Charlie is always very friendly and easy to talk to, the selection of cakes on offer are delicious and prices are reasonable for what you get. The cafe is looking tired and the website is very out of date but that doesn't take away from the service.
