Excellent lunch. Popped in with a friend and my dog and had a lovely welcome and delicious food. I had the gammon and friend had the lasagne, generous portions and homemade chips cooked to perfection.

We have had our eye on this pub for a while and finally decided to pay it a visit. Although it is a local pub, it was very welcoming with a lively atmosphere filled with conversation. The menu is what you would expect from a traditional pub, offering a wide variety of options including daily specials. We ordered the mixed grill, curry Yorkshire pudding, and sausages, and all dishes were excellent! The portions were generous, and even as average eaters, we couldn't finish our meals and had to skip dessert. We will definitely be coming back to this pub!

We booked a table of 12 people for a birthday when we arrived they only had a table of 4 prepared the woman had a attitude and stated that we should have pre ordered and paid a deposit as we were a table bigger then 10 yet no one asked when the booking was made there mistake not ours) we then pre ordered the puddings as they were running out yet once the dinner had be cleared away no one came back to the table to ask about desserts so eventually we approached the bar and the man behind the bar said we better hurry up as the kitchen was closing. Purely on the grounds of the bad attitudes of the staff I will not be returning.

Normally the food here is lovely but not this time my husband had rump steak it was tough and he had the worst upset stomach during the night, we brought a bit of steak home for our dog and she was up all night really poorly had constant diahorea throughout the night like my husband. The chips are usually lovely but not this time they were hard and tasted strange. However my dessert biscoff sundae was delicious.

Absolutely excellent meal with incredible service. We were attending a friends wedding reception nearby and needed somewhere to eat with our 2 year old and friends nearby before the reception. Due to the timings of the reception, we really struggled to find a pub to accommodate us. Nikki the landlady went above and beyond when I contacted her to ask if we could book a table. She was kind enough to keep the kitchen open for us from their lunch hours and made us feel so welcome. The food was delicious and we cannot thank all the staff enough for going above and beyond for us. In particular, one of the bar staff who my toddler took an immediate liking too. Being very nosey, he wanted to see behind the bar and she was wonderful letting him help her put some bottles in the bottle bin and making him feel useful. Would absolutely recommend this place to others and will definitely be sure to visit in the future if we are back in the area
