My family had an unfortunate experience while visiting a Wendy 's located 6260 Winchester Memphis, TN. My husband purchased 3 chicken sandwich combos (2 spicy chicken and 1 regular). He did not receive a receipt for his transaction but transaction totaled $35.61 at approximately 1pm on 12/24/23.When he arrived home with our meals one of the chicken sandwich combos had a sandwich that was not edible-you could not bite through the center of the sandwich no matter how I tried to. I was reluctant to return the meal but my husband insisted that I do. I went back to the restaurant with my 2 year old son in hand and informed the cashier there was an issue with my meal and that I would like sandwich and fries to be replaced and also wanted to order 2 more items. The young man who received my response relayed to a woman who was apparently the manager and she told him to tell me she 's not {refunding or remaking} the sandwich because I ate most of it. I said I ate the part that was edible then I realized there was no way I would be able to finish it because it was rubbery. She then came to the front to interact with me directly and was immediately insensitive and offensive. There was an exchange of interaction between this woman and myself before I told her that I need the sandwich remade or to give me the bag back of food for a formal complaint to be made. My exchange with the other staff was appropriate and fair, but the manager was insulting and cold. She insisted that the chicken fillet was fresh out grease I told her I was not asking for a refund just to have a good quality sandwich prepared as the other parts of our purchase. I even explained I 'd pay for another sandwich if she was going to make this much of a deal about it but she left me standing there. It was really not about the cost but the principle that we purchased food and could not eat it. I expressed that this was ridiculous that I was being treated this way regarding a quality issue that I 'm sure happens often while I had my son with me. She said she 'd give me chicken nuggets instead and I informed he that was not acceptable. I asked again for the food to be returned to me and she it was in the trash. I asked for her to get it out the trash or allow me to. I 'd either have to have the order remains or a complaint filed at this point.I was so uneasy that I was literally shaking with my son in my hand, while a customer who was ordering food was encouraging me to just take a minute and calm myself. It was a humiliating experience. I live in Michigan and purchase Wendy 's all the time for my family for many years. I have NEVER had such a disheartening experience. I tried calling +1 (901) 795-1466 multiple times to determine manager 's name whom I had interaction, but I received no answer. This is a clear opportunity for coaching and re-evaluating customer service within this business. There really isn 't more that I want from this experience but to ensure that this franchise owner and company knows that this is an experience that impacted one of their customers deeply.
Stop by to grab a quick meal. Walked in and no one greeted or acknowledged me. No one was up front to take orders. The only person that said anything was the guy that came from taking a smoke , he was one of the cook/prep personnel. Even the drive thru was backed up.
Long wait cold food missing items even after they tried correcting it.
First I was rushed at the speaker after every word I said he kept saying is that all, is that all??! I was told they have no drinks available only Hi C. Why invest in 127 flavor Coke machine??! Then I asked for a large meal at the speaker. When I got to the window I was given a jr fry and small drink. The guy made it right and gave me large fries and fixed my large drinks. But it should have been right the first time.
