The Capital Grille - Memphis

This is one of my favorite places for lunch when you need a nice big steak. It’s one of the few steakhouses that serves lunch- the others are closed, including Ruth’s Chris, Folk’s Folly, Flemming’s, Mesquite Chophouse, Porch Parlor, and Flight. Other excellent alternatives are CHAR, The Highlander, and the Butcher Shop. People need to know!

The service was excellent! Nice atmosphere! I had the Filet Mignon and it was probably the best I've had! It had delicious flavor! I added the lobster tail and it was super delicious! The creamed spinach was great! The cheese cake was the best I've had! I love the way the caramelized the top .... yummy!

I went to celebrate my birthday with my husband to treat myself, and everything was lovely. Awesome dim, romantic lighting. There is a dress code, but nothing terribly stringent. I was dressed well enough, but found out that your dress doesn't fit the dining room dress, you can be served in the lounge. The food was delicious, but I expected nothing less for the cost. I had the steak and lobster and got a birthday dessert that I really enjoyed. Great service and food. Amazing date night!

Absolutely enjoyed celebrating my birthday here. Our server Dom was very polite and attentive the entire time. Our food was so good and very well prepared. I'll definitely be back!

Surprisingly, this was my first time here, my daughter brought me for my birthday, and it was an awesome experience. My waiter was Adam, my daughter had requested him and it became apparent why...he was a perfect host. The overall mood of the restaurant was great inviting, charming, and cozy. In regard to the real reason that anyone goes, the food, every single food selection we received was sinfully delicious nuanced but not pretentious. I don't think we could have gone wrong with any menu item. This place is a must try in the Memphis area.
