River Oaks - Memphis

What a letdown. This was my first visit with Chef Gutierrez, and it didn't go well. My waitress was neither attentive nor friendly. Between when my drinks arrived and when I was finally able to place my order—which required me to ask someone to find her for the second time—the table next to me had already ordered, enjoyed their appetizers, and were nearly finished with their meals. She never offered an apology, and I had to chase her down for assistance each time, despite the fact that I was her only table (she was also working at the empty bar area). This is not a suitable place for children; even the chicken tenders are not a good option. I ordered Chicken Paillard, but my daughter wouldn't even try it. The waitress didn't acknowledge this at all. I was really disappointed, especially since I've had positive experiences at this restaurant in the past.

The food, portion sizes, service, and atmosphere were all fantastic. I went there for lunch and enjoyed it so much that I ended up not needing dinner!

I visited this restaurant with friends who are regulars, and it was a fantastic experience! The staff was helpful and friendly, the cocktails were excellent, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The food was phenomenal! We started with a charcuterie board as an appetizer, followed by perfectly cooked dishes for our main courses, and finished with a delicious chocolate dessert. I will definitely be back in the future!
