Elena's Taco Shop - Memphis

The tacos and salsas are absolutely delicious. I really enjoy the carne asada fries, but I can't resist a good street taco!

Elena's is fantastic! The food is well-prepared, and the service is speedy, making it ideal for those looking for a quick bite. However, the atmosphere could use some enhancement, so I wouldn't suggest it for a leisurely dining experience. It might be a better option to get your food to go and enjoy it in a park or on a patio. Overall, given the prices and the quality of the food, Elena's is definitely worth checking out!

This is a wonderful local eatery that serves amazing tacos and offers great gluten-free options. Just a heads up, the Street Tacos ($1.95 each) are fairly small—reasonable for the price—but I suggest adding rice and beans to create a more satisfying meal. For anyone with dietary restrictions, they also offer bowls, lettuce wraps, and corn tortillas.

It's a positive omen when you step into a Mexican takeout restaurant and the first thing that greets you is a salsa bar. My initial impression was reinforced when I took a bite of one of their breakfast burritos—absolutely delicious! Having spent a decade in Southern California, I have pretty high standards for Mexican cuisine, and this place definitely delivers.
