The Park Bar Restaurant At Ufford Park Woodbridge

The restaurant was very quiet, likely due to COVID restrictions. The food was served quickly, and we didn't feel rushed, which was nice. It was a pleasant place to relax and enjoy a meal.

We are so lucky to have the Ufford Hotel as our local place to go. We have had afternoon tea here several times and lots of meals all good!

Everything went down well until some golfing guests kicked off in the bar. They were treated with respect by the bar staff but they all flagrantly broke the covid rules. My wife and I were sat in a shouting match that would have good in a western saloon bar. We eventually took our drinks to our room because the open shouting was dangerous in these times. We were sat between the barman who was trying to calm things and the lout. Many guests witnessed their diatribe and an old couple were particularly upset. Your barman should have followed through with the threat to call the police. Unfortunately he was not backed up by the manageress and the arguments continued. My experience is that golf clubs encourage respect from thier golfers. If things do not improve tonight I intend on complaining to the local licensing magistrate.

Covid regulations were followed well but this wasn't a very comfortable place in which to eat. Food was uninspiring. Service friendly but haphazard.

We had quite a trek through the one-way system to get to our table, but it was delightful to sit outside overlooking the golf course in a cozy spot in the sun. The chairs were a bit low since cushions weren't permitted due to Covid restrictions. Nevertheless, the service was friendly and efficient, and the food was quite good. The portion sizes were decent and reasonably priced, especially for a hotel setting.
