I actually found this spot on UberEats and when I glanced at the menu, it reminded me of Fast Furious Japanese Grill (which I love). As I was placing my order I noticed a bunch of Chinese dishes as well and it made me a little uneasy as I was expecting Japanese only from the name. Expanded menus sometimes means a bunch of mediocre items instead of a few great dishes. However, based on the name, I felt I ordered correctly. In any case, I was impressed with the prices, there are a ton of great deals on the menu. I ordered the large hibachi with chicken and steak, also coming with white rice and veggies for $12.95. I saw they had nigiri as well and found the low prices a little suspicious, so I decided to just try one- the salmon for $3.50. The hibachi was one of the more expensive ones as it was a large size and a combo, so it 's a really good deal. The portion was huge, the container of rice was really heavy, overall the prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you are getting. Unfortunately, this was not the quality or flavor I have experienced at Fast Furious, this was extremely mediocre. That 's okay if that 's what you are expecting, I did not have any prior experience with this chain and gave them too much credit off the bat. That 's not their fault and if I went in person, instead of ordering delivery, I might have been blown away with great customer service. However, I can only review the food and value. The hibachi container is poorly made and was leaking all over the inside of the bag, a huge pain to deal with while at work. The steak and chicken were both tough and lacked any real flavor, despite being covered in sauce. I only had 8 pieces of steak and a million pieces of chicken. The veggies were seriously undercooked, except for the zucchini, that wasn 't too bad. The rice actually tasted old, which is baffling as this was only an hour after they opened. The sushi was completely awful and it was hot! Despite having several containers between the hibachi and the sushi, this most likely was caused by the poorly insulated containers being in the same bag. However, this wasn 't lukewarm, it was HOT to the point where it was leaving residue from slowly liquifying in the container, I am very doubtful it was kept at the correct temperature prior to being packaged. The cut looked terrible, and the taste and shriveled texture was way off, so I spit it out because I didn 't want to get sick. Was I apprehensive ordering sushi for $3.50? Yes! So I take responsibility for that, but not only is sushi on the menu, so is poke. With this quality of fish, that 's really concerning. I did not enjoy my meal and feel this was the definition of 'Meh, I 've had better. ' Since the menu is so large, you may have better luck, but manage your expectations accordingly. You can get a lot of food for cheap, but if you plan to venture here, go in person so you can choose what to order after looking at it, and avoid any container fiascos.
My boyfriend and I have ordered delivery from here at least once a week, maybe every two weeks for the past few months. My orders are always accurate and the customer service and delivery time are always excellent. We have never ordered anything we haven't liked. I think the specialty sushi rolls are great and we like the gyoza and takoyaki a lot. Our food always tastes freshly cooked. We typically order the poke bowl with spicy tuna and we always love it. We feel very grateful for this restaurant because we love Japanese food and the pricing is very fair for the good quality. This place deserves all the success and good reviews.
The service here was very friendly and speedy. Food came out hot and we couldn't finish so there was plenty of it. We had beef with broccoli, general tso, and Kung pao combos. They came with rice, a drink, and a spring roll. Overall good.
Food is ok. Not stellar, but I'd come back to try other stuff. I had the steak hibachi with noodles. It wasn't bad! The steamed gyoza was ok.
Not what we expected. We were very disappointed. we ordered steak hibachi. First, the meat was tough. Next, The broccoli was somewhat undercooked. The hibachi was watery which look like stir fry with watery sauce. The shrimp tempura was decent but not what you get at real Japanese resto. For me, this is more like Chinese restaurant trying to cook Japanese food. The place was clean.
