Verve Spice - Melbourne

I went to this charming cafe after my class the other day! I tasted their various beans, legumes, and lentils and was amazed by how delicious they were. The stew was hearty and satisfying, perfect for a chilly day. The side of toast paired perfectly with it. I usually don't like savory toast, but this was a pleasant surprise! I will definitely return.

The food is fantastic, the coffee is excellent, and the staff at the counter are lovely. You can't go wrong here. Be sure to try the mushroom and spinach ragout on the breakfast menu, it's amazing.

The owner and staff at this restaurant are extremely friendly. The coffee is nice and the food is good. I will definitely be returning. The waitress was very attentive. It was a pleasant surprise to be asked if I wanted my coffee served at the same time as my meal, as I usually dislike when the coffee comes out much earlier and gets cold before I can eat.

What an amazing late lunch I had here with my family this Sunday afternoon. <br/ <br/ Staffing is extremely friendly, made us feel like we were in a friends’ house. The food didn’t let us down either.<br/ <br/ As vegans, we know it’s a real struggle to go out and have a nice meal in a non exclusively vegan place some times even in those places. <br/ In most places everything is so acid and we got to pick from multiple options of salad so boring.<br/ <br/ That’s not the case here. At Verve Spice, we had some AMAZING falafel and a wonderful hommus with caramelised onions to begin with, and a delicious quinoa and cucumber salad with the most delicious cauliflower ever. <br/ <br/ We finished with a great coffee and left the place wondering how on earth it took us so long to get to know this place.<br/ <br/ Highly recommend certainly made our favourites list.

Thanks so much for our Wonderful Vegan Banquet last night, everything tasted Amazing! Loved the Falafel with Tahini Sauce, Fried Cauliflower with Spiced Pear Sauce, Harra Potatoes with Garlic Toum and Fatouli was to die for! Service was very friendly yet still professional and Nick was always stopping by to make sure we were comfortable as well as giving us a detailed run down of the food and recommendations which were spot on! Great job Raff and Nick! I will be bringing a group with me next time and catching public transport so I can try their unique cocktail list!
