Bidrage med feedbackAnother great lunch today! The wait staff are well versed on the menu and were super efficient and helpful. Nothing to fault except a few small bones in my duck pie...
I was walking around Melborune's CBD looking for a place to have lunch. At the end of an ally I saw some people and going and I found Treviso at the bottom of some stairs. The staff was super nice and the food delicious, I felt at home during my time there. Thanks for your hospitality July!
Le Becherie restaurant in Treviso is where the world famous dessert Tiramisu was first served. Although the original owners have moved on the Restaurant still maintains the highest standards of Italian cuisine. Treviso itself is one of Italy best kept secrets. A walled city with a medieval centre it has many canals and the river Sile coursing through the city creating a little of the Venice experience. Go there and be Tiramisu-ed
Bank Place, as its name suggests, is surrounded by banks, but also and above all by restaurants and brasseries. A small haven of peace during business time, we find the Melbourneians who work in the surrounding offices there. The Treviso is very nice . Italian cuisine, as often in Melbourne and a great wine list. We had lunch on the terrace, but the interior is really worth the detour: very classic, wood, very beautiful.
This place is a hidden gem, I've walked passed so many time and never ventured downstairs. Greeted at the door was a nice touch, the food was so homely and tasted superb. We started with a salumi platter and arancini balls, so yummy. The pasta's all round, each of us had food envy as they were delivered, each one smelling divine. Finished off a coffee and biscotti.
