The Fitzroy Beer Garden - Melbourne

We had my sons 21st Birthday and it was fantastic. The staff were so helpful, especially John in helping plan the party and then ensuring it went well. The food was excellent and the alcohol reasonably priced. Thank you for a wonderful night. I would highly recommend this venue.

This place looks rather unassuming from the street but once inside there's a funky beer garden out the back that's nice for an afternoon drink and turns into a popular party area late on weekends. Food looks good and staff are super friendly and seem like they have a lot of fun.

Situated in trendy Gertrude Street Fitzroy you could literally walk straight past this bar/pub without even noticing it. Once inside though it feels warm and welcoming. At the front there is a smallish bar area, however at the back it opens up into a reasonably sized beer garden and lounge. Bar meals are not very extensive with only a few menu items, mainly parma and burgers. We had the chicken parma which was actually pretty good. It was accompanied by chips and a salad. The salad scored a big tick as it actually had a nice vinegar dressing.

The former 'Funf', and 'Yelza' before that, the re-branded Fitzroy Beer Garden hasn't changed much from it's previous incarnations aesthetically or lay-out
