Temperance Hotel - Melbourne

Take me back to the days when we could enjoy a leisurely afternoon drink at a local pub. The Temperance Hotel on Chapel Street is a cool corner hotel with a vibrant atmosphere, cold beer on tap and a nice wine selection. Popular with locals, it gets really busy here during happy hour and on weekends. <br/ <br/ We didn't eat anything, but the menu looked pretty decent, with plenty of pub classics. Our drinks were enjoyed outside in the sunshine as we watched people go by. Service was excellent and it was a lovely and chilled spot to enjoy an afternoon drink.

An old worldly styled interior makes the Temperance Hotel a very cozy setting. Nice relaxing venue to catch a game of cricket (indoors) if the summer heat is too intense.

We arrived to the fireplace going which was a welcome delight to escape the cold Melbourne day! Food is your typical pub food, well priced and a decent size. I ordered the fish tacos amazing! I could have those again! My friend had the mushroom pizza so so good. We shared the croquettes but they lacked seasoning, easy to fix though!

Wonderful food great environment and the loveliest waitress Ash! We had a great night because of her and had so much fun. Drinks and food are exceptional!
