Excellent quality Sushi at a reasonable price. We ate lunch here twice while on holiday in Melbourne. Staff also very friendly.
A small run of the mill shop tucked in the middle of a street of its much more spacious and glamorous neighbours, this sushi bar spells of no-nonsense, quick gratification. Its sushis are well-priced, ranging from $2.10 - $3, as well as offering bowls of traditional Japanese fare such as Curry Don and Teriyaki Chicken Don whipped up with military efficiency. A must-have is their tasty Chicken & Avocado sushi roll ($2.40) which is generously packed with a thick chunk of roast teriyaki chicken and mashed avocado. Season with some soy sauce, and you have a wonderfully fresh sensation of slightly crisp chicken skin and well-marinated chicken, which meshes perfectly with the subtly sweet avocado. Another great addition to the palate is the California Roll ($2.30), which though isn't traditional Japanese, is wrapped with fresh nori and soft rice, a mix of crab stick, avocado, cucumber. Feel free to try the range of sushis, for with the tempting combinations available, you can't go wrong with the little shoplot dishing out tasty lunches and snacks by the friendly staff.
BROWN RICE?!? BROWN RICE?!? WHAT IN THE BLAZES IS THIS NONSENSE?! In all my years, I have never come across brown rice in my precious Asian meals.
Some people have an issue with eat out by themselves.
