Bidrage med feedbackI dined at Smokey's on Sunday night and had a wonderful experience. The portions were generous and the food was delicious. My friend was craving ribs and we were recommended to try Smokey's after our usual spot closed down. We ordered Pork Ribs, Beef Brisket, a Beef Burger, loaded Potato, and Pulled Pork Sliders. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals, except for one person who wasn't a fan of the potato. For dessert, we shared a cheesecake and brownie, which was a hit with everyone. The only letdown was that they ran out of brownies before others could order more. The atmosphere at Smokey's was cozy and not too crowded or noisy. We enjoyed the background rock music. Overall, it's a great spot for casual dining with delicious food at reasonable prices.
"Absolutely fantastic! We were the only ones there for lunch on a Saturday. Where is everyone? The food was delicious, we only had appetizers though: Mac'n'cheese balls, grilled cornbread, chicken tenders, and wings. Yum, everything was served hot and there was plenty for the two of us. The service was excellent and the decor was quite nice. We really enjoyed our experience and would definitely return."
This BBQ place is not your typical fare. I tried the pork ribs, which came in a large rack that was baked with a dry rub. If you're expecting saucy, finger-licking southern BBQ, this is not the place for you. The ribs were pricey at $35 and the service was not very attentive. The skinny fries were delicious, but unfortunately there was no sauce provided from the ribs to dip them in.
Good place for an impromptu American BBQ style and themed dinner with fast service. The food (whether it's the ribs, Reuben sandwich, Brisket sandwich-with Jack Daniels or southern comfort sauce are all delicious. Grab an Australian craft beer or go for a delicious milkshake and you are set! Good food offering and compared to other American BBQ places in Melbourne, the overall value this restaurant offers is worth checking out (it's a low/medium price American BBQ Have tried to go to Port Melbourne four times now and each time they have been closed or closing (inside of their advertised trading hours , so cannot comment on this site's offering/experience had. We dined on a Saturday night and had booked a table for 8. Whilst the food and drink we DID have was great, it was the disappointing lack of stuff that annoyed me. They had no icecream which meant no icecream desserts and no milkshakes. They ran out of Sprite after we 'd had 3 bottles. They ran out of bottles of coors after I 'd had 4. They were missing at least 3 mains including the beef rib...which is what we really wanted! It became a bit of a joke can we get......or have you run out of that too? I can never understand that, maybe the mains, but icecream and Sprite is available in any cash and carry or supermarket....and there is a supermarket about 2 minutes walk away! We had a nice meal, but it wasn 't anywhere near as good as it should have been.
