Bidrage med feedbackI visited this Indonesian cafe for the first time and found the decor to be humble and simple. There were copies of newspapers on the wall showcasing the owner's history, which I found interesting. We ordered the fried chicken with turmeric rice, which was full of flavor. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, cooked to perfection. It came with a homemade chili sauce and salad. Although the chili sauce was very spicy, it didn't compare to the one at another Indonesian restaurant. I was hoping for a chili sauce with a stronger fragrance and freshness, but this one fell a bit short. Overall, it was a good dining experience. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the location next to Victoria Market. If you're a fan of spicy food, give this place a try. However, if you have high expectations for chili sauce, you may want to look elsewhere.
A small but cozy restaurant the moment you walk in, it will take you back to the streets of jarkata. chicken thigh was succulent with fluffy turmeric rice it was a wonderful combo. would also recommend the beef ribs on coconut rice, unfortunately i finished it before I could take any photo of it.
We had a wonderful experience at the charming little Indonesian restaurant called "Herbal House" located next to the Queen Victoria Market. Our friend, who is originally from Indonesia, introduced us to three delicious dishes: Gado-gado, Kwetiau Goreng, and Lontong Seyur, along with Tempeh and Teh Tarik. It was a true taste of Indonesia! We also enjoyed the second round of desserts, including black rice with coconut milk, and a delicious mix of sweet potato, pumpkin, and banana with coconut milk. Overall, a delightful culinary adventure.
This is definitely my favourite Indonesian place in the city. Always come here for their ayam bakar chicken. It’s consistently super yummy
This Indonesian restaurant on the northern end of Elizabeth street has a pretty run down and dark interior but the bright and friendly service neutralises this. <br/ <br/ I had the mie goreng with extra spice and boy, did it deliver in spades! It was a little too oily but the wok hei was very prominent. There were tiny pieces of chicken and the noodles were of the instant noodle kind. <br/ <br/ All in all, a reasonable experience and worth repeating in the future.
