Panama Dining Room - Melbourne

Had a really great night here with friends, the staff are fantastic, a friendly group and there were smiles, awesome!! Very cool laid back environment, eat, drink, chill out or play a game of pool. The menu had all bases covered, meals were good, unfortunately a little inconsistent, but that didn't overly effect the evening.

I nearly died after ordering two espresso martinis for $39... they were the smallest cocktail I've had too. Complete waste of money

Had a blast at the panama !! Great location food and atmosphere..the band played the decor was great and the food was plentiful.

Went there with friends, started off with a cocktail which was terrible I could of made better for $22. You have to share plates between 6 people and there wasn't many and were tasteless. Then I waited for desert thinking they can't go wrong there, one desert had bone marrow in it "disgusting" per couple we sent $200, never again.

We went to the Panama Dining Room for a friend's birthday and we paid $65 for a set menu. I am a vegetarian and there was absolutely no alteration in the menu for me! Staff barely explained what the food being brought out was and I had to constantly ask for clarification. Every dish, bar two entrees, had meat in them. When I asked the waitress what food was going to be served next so I knew if it was vegetarian or not, she said she didn't know as the kitchen doesn't tell the wait staff due to it being a set menu - WHAT???!!! The consensus for our two large tables was that the food was horrible in every sense, it looked bad, smelled bad and was tasteless and bland. After resigning myself to the fact that I was paying $65 for a bit of cheese and bread, I was hoping to enjoy dessert. To not only mine, but also my carnivorous companions shock horror the dessert was chocolate mouse made with bone marrow - yes you read correctly BONE MARROW! I could not even drink to take away the pain of this experience because the signature cocktails were DISGUSTING and a total rip-off for three mouthfuls at $20.00 a pop.STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY - STAY AWAY!!!
