Meat Market South Wharf - Melbourne

Lovely venue in the heart of Melbourne. I had the pleasure to shot a wedding being held at Aerial and everything was amazing. The decor looked fantastic, the staff was friendly and attentive and most importantly the couple was so happy enjoying their party!

The venue has quite a nice location on the South Wharf, close to the DFO. The entranceway is quite nice, as was the initial bar area at the top. They had a selection of drinks and canapes. The dining area was opened up once most of the people had arrived. The views of the city were quite nice. The staff were all quite good but there were times where it was hard to find anyone to get some drinks, or a drink order being forgotten. The food was alright. It wasn't amazing but it was nice. I didn't like how the mains (Beef or fish) were alternating. It was otherwise a really nice, convenient venue.

Exceeded every expectation! Food Desire made our wedding day so wonderful at their venue Aerial. The process from start to finish was easy, working with their event coordinators and venue managers. The organisation and service of all the staff is high quality, they were so accommodating and enthusiastic for our special day. The food was fabulous, our guests raved about the taste and freshness, plus we had a special ice cream bar that Food Desire willingly organised for us, that our guests loved! We couldn't have asked for a better wedding venue. Highly recommend Food Desire at Aerial, their service and quality of catering is beyond wonderful.

Great atmosphere and great view. The staff are friendly. The place is clean. If you're looking for a function room or reception, this place is a great choice.

Came by for dinner as we had just come from the Southbank DFO. It is one of the many restaurants lining the river in this area. We had options of sitting inside or out, and we opted for in. The outside area was on the riverside so it is quite a nice place to eat if it's not too hot.Quite a few food options, both for meat eaters and non-meat eaters. I had the grilled corn and the halloumi skewers. We were seated next to the grill and it was nice watching the chefs grilling and then dressing the food. The food was tasty but thought it was on the pricey side. Unsurprisingly, it is suited for carnivores.
