Bidrage med feedbackOrdered croissants from Lune 3 times now and it never disappoints! Despite the hefty price tag of over $10 for a croissant, the quality in how much filling there is and in the actual croissant itself makes it worthwhile. I’ve tried the almond, apple and mocha croissant which have all been amazing and I would definitely re-order. The only disappointment I’ve had is the limited kaya cruffin which just didn’t appeal to me as a pastry and the filling lacked depth in kaya flavour. Overall an amazing place for croissants, a must try!
Hands down best crossionts in Melbourne cannot be beaten. So initially I tired the choc chip one on my first visit which was amazing if your after a chocolate fix it is amazing and so rich in flavour. I then went back on my second visit and had the macadamia which I loved and was very unique as I've never had a macadamia one and lastly today I had to go back to get the almond one which was also amazing. The flour and technique used is so many layers and perfectly crisp with amazing filling. So my favorite is the macadamia but honestly all are sssssooooo good. Oh and might i add i also llllloooovvvveeedddd the jam and cream (in photo) that was sensational and very nice surprise in the middle with the jam and cream. Perfect amount of filling and crisp on outside. Absolutely delicious!!!
The croissant itself was AMAZING. i ate one flake that fell off before i tasted anything else and it was really buttery and yum. the ham and gruyere itself though, was a little underwhelming (the cheese and ham inside could be better). however, the chocolate pistachio croissant was to die for!!
I've been here a few times as I love their croissants so much especially the Almond croissant. However you have to get in there at the right time as lines can get crazy long!! Love the industrial feel inside the shop, and always amazes how they make it. It literally is about the science of crunch! Would seriously compare the crunch and quality of croissants are similar to those I tasted in France! Impressive!
Great news for Lune fans like me because Lune is now delivering viennoiserie to selected suburbs on a rotating basis during this lockdown! Receiving a box of Lune viennoiserie is more exciting than receiving a pot of gold<br/ <br/ I ordered the:<br/ Ham gruyere croissant<br/ Pain au Chocolat<br/ Lemon curd cruffin<br/ Kaya cruffin<br/ Almond crossaint<br/ <br/ All of them were beautiful, flaky and crunchy. The ham gruyere was cheesy and savoury. The lemon curd cruffin had beautiful crunchy layers on the outside and was buttery ans pillowy soft on the inside. I loved the lemon curd and wanted more! The kaya cruffin was on special and it was also amazing. The kaya was smooth and aromatic though I wanted more of a pandan flavour. The pain au chocolat was crunchy and had lovely dark bitter notes of chocolate in it and the almond crossaint was possibly the most almondey crossaint I have ever had in my life. Can’t wait for them to deliver to my suburb again!
