Lt. Osteria - Melbourne

Friendly service with nice fresh pasta dishes, sadly the red wine choice is below par. Well worth a visit if in CBD.

We were recommended Lt. Osteria by the reception at a nearby hotel we stayed at and we were so glad they did. To start with the coffee, OMG the coffee! I have not had coffee that good for a very long time, simply outstanding. The food that followed was excellent, I had the eggs florentine and it was fantastic. Two perfectly poached eggs on brioche buns with wilted spinach and hollandaise sauce. I chose to add the optional salmon and it really worked well, overall a great dish. My friend had the super greens and was equally impressed with it. Something a bit different from what you would typically see on a breakfast menu. The place is a bit noisy as it does get quite busy but that aside I could not fault at all. Highly recommended.

I have discovered Lt. Osteria months ago and since I have always been a big fan of this place .I come here quite often, not only for their beautiful food and coffee, but also for the lovely people who work here, they are just wonderful each time .Today I had their Dukkah Eggs, which it arrived at the table in under 10 minutes (during peak lunch time in the heart of the CBD). The dish was perfectly cooked, well executed and delivered lots of flavours that made my tastebuds giggle.Their espresso was perfectly extracted from their stunning white eagle and their smiley barista, just the right way to finish a gorgeous meal Thank you for having me

This lovely cafe was recommended to me and it was worth seeking out. Friendly smile from a team of busy baristas as I walked in. Service and coffee was excellent. I will be back for lunch and a longer visit next time.

Came to this busy cafe early on a Wednesday morning and was greeted by a busy crowd.. this cafe serves up great coffee and scrambled eggs on toast was a perfect match to the start of the day.. the cafe used olive oil on toast rather than butter and tastes good.. there were many ppl queuing up for coffee take away.. the shop itself was very brightly lit and made it a great spot for breakky.. the wait staff was also very friendly.. the only downside was the washrooms were located in the outdoor mall and wasn’t properly serviced..
