Bidrage med feedbackI was amazed to find tasty Pooris served with the chickpeas curry.Worth trying ...Anyone who has a binge for Pooris should try it here..The service was excellent and quick. Will visit the place again.
I am from India and love cooking myself. I have visited many Indian restaurants in Melbourne but can't stop raving about Chilli Padi! Their Chicken and Goat Dum Biriyani is made by the authentic process and you can just smell the spices and taste the essence while you eat it. The best one I have had in Melbourne! The other Indian dishes like Chicken Chettinad, Masala Dosa, Chicken 65 etc are also worth a try. The starters are really awesome here and while you wait for the main course, take a dig at the starters. The restaurant is located in Melbourne Central just next to Max Berners (known for desserts), so a sweet walk to the dessert lane after a sumptuous Indian dinner is the best attraction! The staff is quite friendly and didn't need to wait too long for the food. The food is fresh is maintains good quality and follows the authentic Indian recipes. Highly recommend! Don't forget to order the Chicken Dum Biriyani!
This is a great place for a quick but satisfying lunch. The vegi dishes change constantly but are all fantastic, especially the aloo and daal. The thali with roti and rice is so satisfying and the service is quick and friendly. I love this place. It gets my vote for best curry in the CBD.
I loved their food I tried their Thali, I love chilly in my food and loved the different validation of spices and chilly in every item, if you haven't tried Nepalese place, thus place will give you an experience closer to authentic Nepalese.
This review is given for the Chilli Everest part of Chilli Padi in Melbourne Central.First time trying out this place with friends. After comparing Chilli Everest's and Chilli India's menu and I have decided to go with Chilli Everest because the menu looks more special and the queue is short for a lunch time peak hour.Ordered and had the Chicken Thakali ($14.95). Meal comes with a stew or broth and chicken curry. Lots of rice with sides of pickled vegetables and a slice of raw carrot and cucumber plus a poppadom. The amount is enough to fill your stomach.Taste of food is fine. However, the amount of chicken is minimal to the point that you're thinking why are you paying this much for such minimal meat dish! We're seating at the alley area. Place is not hygienic given there's birds perching around the building's beam area just above the seating area. Food scrapes are around some part of floors or tables. Our tables are clean during our meal.In short, not a place worth the quality of food! As deemed as expensive due to price mismatch. :(
