Organised an end-of-year function for around 30 people here and the Clayton Hotel did not disappoint! The Bistro Manager Dinushi was extremely helpful and accommodating of us despite our restrictive budget and ensured that we could offer everything we wanted. She was always on top of things in the lead-up to the event and her attentiveness and quick replying ensured that all matters were attended to and that the event ran smoothly. The Clayton Hotel itself is a nice venue, with electronic signage for your event, different room set-ups and arrangements available (which can definitely accommodate more than the 30 people we had), a Bluetooth sound system, a nice bar located within the function room, and a small outdoor area for some fresh air. All of the staff were friendly and helpful on the night and contributed to the event being a big success! Would highly considering the Clayton Hotel for your next function! Not much to shout about. Reasonable food to sort your cravings. APPETISER 1. Calamari is tender and was good. Extra slice of lemon would had been perfect. Overall a 4.3/5.0 2. Roast Pork. Crispy skin and balanced flavour. Paired with the sauce and grapefruit was a good combination. Overall 4.0/5.0 MAINS 1. Beef Steak was a little over done and was little dry. Vegetables was just blanched therefore not much flavour and no condiments to pair with. Overall a 3.0/5.0 2. Barramundi with Truffle Sauce. Love the Truffle sauce. it wasn't overpowering. The sauce is compatible with the fish also the mash. Overall a 3.8/5.0 It was a wedding dinner, not sure about the price. Do not quote me on that.
