Bobo's Diner - Melbourne

We are regulars here , they do a great Mon- Fri $10 Lunch special that includes a drink .Owner Vaughn is lovely and very accomodating.Food is simple American style fare , good Menu with varied options . The onion rings are a must for us , dipping sauce is yum . Good sized open beer garden for those warm days .Service is always friendly and helpful . Not sure if they rotate chefs but on occasion we have experienced inconsistencies with the cooking of the meals but Vaughn is very open to constructive feedback , on the whole this a favourite of ours for no fuss burgers and hot dogs .They also accomodate take away and Uber eats . Very family friendly.

$95 for a Parma, burger, kids chicken strips and a couple of drinks! What a disgrace!! Parma was tasteless a bit of chicken and a whole packet of cheese with no sauce, burger was burnt! For a place like 'ivanhoe' they need to get rid of their chefs and put someone in who knows how to cook! NEVER AGAIN!

Having been previously for dinner, we thought it would be a good spot for a sweet treat but service was poor this time and having ordered what we wanted we were then told it wasn't available. Didn't meet expectations. Dessert seemed very 'out of a packet' and was accompanied with whipped cream out of a can.

We stopped into Bobo's Diner for dinner with 3 hungry kids. We had no reservation, but the staff we very accomodating and set us up with a table for 5 including a high chair. Well, I can honestly say we ate and ate and ate till we could eat no more. The meals we extremely generous in size and delicious. The kids meal hot dogs were massive. Longest hotdogs I've ever seen. We will definitely be back. Hubby loved the burgers and the fried chicken was yummy.

Bring your appetitive for this US dining experience ... overflowing plates of rubs, friend chicken and big steaks. Fried onion rings, buffalo wings and matzo balls a winner. US beers, small wine list but plenty of cocktails and shakes. Our big table brought their appetites and were beaten by the big meals. Booths and big tables, great for friends and family groups. Fun weekend lunch venue. There's also a variety of half price specials on week nights. Plenty of parking nearby. Will be back with friends again.
