Deangelo's By The Sea - Melbourne Beach

Don't let looks deceive you. It doesn't look like much, but the food service are exquisite! Even the music playing softly in the background was perfect. Steamed mussels, shrimp scampi, frutti de mare the best lemoncello I've ever had. The hostess greeted us warmly, our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient. He couldn't have done more to make our dinner a marvelous experience. Highly recommended!

Solid authentic Italian food. Chef is fantastic. Beats the hell out of all the other overrated food around.

The pizza is just ok but their other options are really good. Sorry the mussels are gone in my pic too good to wait. And it is beach side so you can't really complain about the slow service but it was.

I can only hope this was a very bad day for the restaurant. And/or they have personnel problems. But we had a reservation (Tuesday, September 7, 2021). Stood in the door with 8 other people waiting for an end of 15 minutes before we even saw an employee. A waitress comes to work on the back 4 tables of groups of people. She also draws commands and hostess. We and another person sat (without explaining what was going on, or she needed some time) and she went back. People around us are all waiting. For checks, drinks, service. Everyone complains. We're waiting for 15 minutes, but after we saw the mess around us, we all decided to go. We've been here for 30 minutes and never got the chance to order anything at all. On the way out we still see no one, and there are still people waiting on the door. In addition to the long waiting period, the restaurant uses some updates. See more like a pizza take from the front with random things everywhere and no theme. Looks a bit beaten and not the cleanest restaurant. I hate a negative review, but that was a terrible experience. Maybe she should have explained that they were held back or were just close employees instead of waiting 30 minutes for us to just go with no one in sight. Wish the owners the best in the hope of improvement, sincere. We love and support our local companies.
