Beautiful people, place, and trails! My family and I loved the Easter eco-egg hunt!

What a great idea to have a little wildlife-related display! We really enjoyed learning more about the plants, animals and habitat of the area. Nice job appealing to all ages. (Bathroom available). The beach with a parking lot is right next to it... (heads up: no rinse off area)

Great place to learn about sea turtles and the efforts to protect them

My wife and I both Love this place! Whenever we have visitors from out of town, the BIS is on our short list of things to must do! The education about how magical our 30 stretch of beach is and how important it is to the 3 nesting sea turtle species that use it is priceless! Perfect learning activity for both young and those not so young. Highly Recommend!

The Barrier Island Sanctuary was truly incredible. It provided fascinating information about the challenges facing Florida's beaches and turtles, as well as the efforts being made to protect these turtles and help them reach the ocean safely. There are numerous interactive activities for children, along with plenty of opportunities for everyone to join in and have fun. They offer hands-on experiences like bracelet-making and other engaging activities.
