Biggie Smalls Windsor is no more. Shane Delia has replaced his Chapel Street kebab shop with Maha East, the fun and casual cousin of his Maha flagship. It is still Maha, so the share-style menu is Middle Eastern-inspired, and it boasts a strong wine and cocktail list.
LIT! : I have visited Maha several times and I am always blown away by the delicious hummus. The fresh bread they provide to accompany it is amazing. We tried the set menu and every dish was fantastic. A special mention goes to their unique take on dumplings – soft and full of flavor. I also had the pleasure of meeting the head chef Shane Delia, who was incredibly kind. I will definitely be returning to one of my favorite restaurants.
Must try: - Fried bun: A delicious combination of a savory donut with taramasalata and salmon caviar - Hummus: A must-have at Mahah, the crispy sage and housemade bread take this dish to another level - Beef Turkish dumplings (Manti): Tiny, adorable, and delicious Skip: - Roast lamb shoulder: The portion was small and lacked the expected flavor - Desserts: Consider ordering an extra meze or two instead of dessert.
Decided to try this restaurant and was not disappointed! Had the soufra menu and it was a great way to taste what this place was offering. Yum. The food was excellent in every respect. The wait staff were helpful.
