Face au Mont-Blanc - Megève

Go when the sun shines hope it is open. Smell of burgers intoxicating, so we tried one. I am not usually a burger person.

We had a large party booked in for lunch and chose this so the non skiers could join us. We arrived a bit early so started with a hot chocolate (which was one of the best I've had) then had drinks outside before coming back into the very traditional (in a good way) dining room for typical Savoyard fayre - tartiflette, cheese boxes, cold meats etc. The lady who looked after us could not have been nicer - she even stood on a chair to get a picture of our whole party for us. Sadly they don't currently do a veggie tartiflette but that's my only criticism.

The terrasse has a spectacular view of the Mont Blanc chain, but the service and food are unfortunately far from spectacular. Cold plate of 5 pieces of vegetables, one of them uncooked, for 22 Euros was a disappointment. The rest of the food was average at best, and the service was painfully slow.

Went for lunch and we only got a burger menu, we did see other tables have salad however we did not get the same menu. Would have been nice to see the entire menu. Burger was great i must say and home made ! Did not expect this from a mountain restaurant ! Lady that served was great ! Kids menu was 10 Euro however not on menu. Burger and chips.
