Bella Roma Restaurant - MEDOWIE

I must say that the food was delicious, however, the wait time for our meals was disappointing. The restaurant's organization was also lacking.

The food we received was delicious and the young lady who served us was friendly and helpful. However, upon leaving and seeing the dirty entrance, filthy floors, and disgusting bin inside the front door, we were appalled. My husband also mentioned that the toilets were in a similarly unacceptable state. If the restaurant looks like this on the outside, we can only imagine what the kitchen must be like. We suggest that they have a health and safety inspection done before we would recommend dining here again.

We had a delicious large pizza with a flavorful mix of spices for takeaway at this charming restaurant. The kitchen was bustling with activity in the old building. We didn't pre-order, so we anticipated a lengthy wait. Luckily, we arrived early and received our pizza in just 15 minutes. As we left, we overheard others being told there was a one-hour wait, so it's best to arrive early or dine in and enjoy a bottle of red wine while waiting. Corkage fee is around $2.50, if I recall correctly.

Was lucky to get a late booking on a Saturday night... 5 adults and 2 kids and a tiny baby. We liked being in the back room so as not to disturb others but I have eaten before in smaller group no kids and it was great in the other room also. Service good, and every dish we had was delish. And trust me, we had heaps!! I wish I took some pics, but everything was so good that we scoffed it down before giving a second thought. Highly recommend

The restaurant can not be recommended for its ambience as it's composed of a series of disconnected rooms one with while tablecloths (the family room judging by the number of children in dressing gowns and big family groups go figure) while others very basic. I would not recommend for a quick bite either as our dinner took a long time to arrive and only after the long wait were we told that one (lemon sole) wasn't available. Maybe takeaway would be better?? It was the reason (high volume takeaways) given to us why our meals were slow. To be fair they did offer the replacement meal at no cost. What we didn't know was that if you don't bring your own bottle of wine you either have to drink wine by the glass or finish your bottle or leave it at the restaurant as you aren't allowed to take your half bottle out of the venue.
