Bidrage med feedbackWhat a find this place was. We had the all day breakfast and the rhubarb muesli was the best I have ever eaten, what a pity it closes in the early afternoon as it would be awesome for dinner there.
Delicious food that's a little different to other typical cafe food offerings in the area. The pita, crumpets and tortilla's on the menu were all house made. The crumpets were incredibly light and fluffy! They had a couple of really good looking vegetarian options on the menu that almost lured me away form the lamb (almost). They do offer simple breakfast dishes if harrissa, pomegranate etc is not your thing. The coffee was very good and there was a good selection of cakes and slices on offer (we went back the next day for coffee and I had the pistacho shortbread). The service was prompt and good. The cafe is located in an old building with high wooden ceilings and wood floors. The decor is simple cafe style and the kitchen is open and on your right as you walk in the door so you can see what's going on. They didn't have air conditioning (? at least not turned on) but did have the front and side doors open for a bit of a breeze. It did get a bit hot towards the end of the meal on a 30+ degree day.
It is rare to find a restaurant open past 8 in the small town of Haliburton.
On Friday afternoon, there were a lot of men buying beer at this restaurant. It seemed like beer was the main focus. The food was okay and served in generous portions, but there weren't many people dining there.
I'll be brief and to the point - the service at this restaurant is fantastic. All the staff are amazing.
