Bidrage med feedbackBeen here a couple of times for lunch and the food is always good as well as the portions. Prices are very fair. Customer service is also good. Can either eat outdoors or indoors. This is one of the few places that opens at 7am in the morning for breakfast. Keep in mind that if you eat outdoors there'll be beggars and homeless asking for money as they're walking by.
It was my first time eating here. The dining area is adjacent to the street at one side and small plaza on another side. The service was quick and friendly. It was early for the mid-day meal so plenty of tables were available. I had Mondongo which is tripe soup with potatoes or cassava, peas, onion, carrot, etc. It was accompanied by a small arepa, half an avocado and a small salad. The Mondongo itself was very tasty. The arepa was hard and dry on the outside, like it had been sitting quite a while. The avocado was watery, and the tomato in the salad was not quite ripe. The restaurant is located on a busy tourist street with lots of bars, street vendors, and small eateries. There is begging and busking going on. Tables around the perimeter of the restaurant (close to half the total) are subject to people from the street asking for money. There are also street musicians, or people making speeches as to why you should give them money. That 's why I gave atmosphere a 3 . While it isn 't the restaurant 's fault, that doesn 't mean you have to be a customer. If their food were excellent maybe it would be worth the frequent interruptions. Like many restaurants in Laureles, they automatically add a 10% tip even for a party of one. You have to ask to have it taken off the bill if you don 't want to pay that amount. To me this is not okay because it puts every customer in the position of having to be the bad guy if you ask to have the tip removed, even if service or food was not worthy of a tip. In summary, middle of the road food, good service, bad tip policy.
Very good portions of good food. The chicken with mushrooms was excellent, and the cheese arepa was quite good. The servers were very nice and the food was not costly. The ambiance was nice: lots of residents having a good time in a convivial setting. Highly recommended if you want to experience a friendly environment full of locals!
What can I say other than I ate the best bandeja paisa there. Complete, good quality and flavourful. 40k$ but trust me you won’t need to eat for a long time. My boyfriend took a plate of chicken and he loved it.
Fui con mi familia, viviendo al otro extremo de la ciudad, a comer arepas, pero tuvimos una muy mala atención por parte mesero, el fue déspota y desagradable
