Il Forno Palmas - Medellín

Il forno is one of the best restaurants for those living in Medellín. I enjoy eating here with my family, all meals were excellent and the service could not have been better.

Very rarely did I write bad reviews, I had a very disappointing experience in Il Forno, which frustrated me and dissatisfied me. The biggest problem was the extremely slow service. It took an unacceptable amount of time to arrive for our food, with each plate coming out one at a time within an hour. It was frustrating to see how my eating mates get their dishes while I was waiting for my. When they finally made my order, it came cold in the middle, indicating a lack of attention and care in the kitchen. This was not only a great inconvenience, but also a farewell to the reputation of the restaurant. To make something worse, the drinks we had ordered more than an hour and some changes before finally arrived after another long waiting period. It was incredibly frustrating to see such a significant delay in getting our drinks, especially if we had placed the order well in advance. This service is unfortunately average for some businesses in Colombia, but I had higher expectations for a restaurant like Il Forno. Overall, the slow and inefficient service, combined with the cold and badly prepared dish, left an acidic taste in my mouth and made it difficult to enjoy the culinary experience.

Very unpleasant. Reviews are obviously wrong. Monday night for Diner. The food tasted strangely unpleasant. I had a bad feeling. We woke up with stomach cramps and quite sick. In addition, the bill for a Colombian restaurant was outraged. Even the “Cocktail” situation was a joke. They could not offer the 2 for 1 advertised in the whole restaurant because the bartender did not go to work. They made us a couple of Sangrias who liked bitter wine with a few pieces of fruit. the worse restaurant I ate in Colombia.

Unbelievable food and service was excellent. We went in a pretty busy day and they told us we had to wait about 60 minutes, but in the end it was like 20. These people are masters what they do, I highly recommend the “Mandarina-Fresa” juice, never thought of it, but it turned out to be amazing. The lasagna was also incredible, you will not really forget this taste.
