Formosa - Medellín

The one flaw about this place is that it's really only a lunch restaurant. We ordered two types of ramen, I had the WOK Ramen, which is almost exactly like the regular ramen except no baby bok choy veggies, and no broth. Meat was the same. Mine was really heavy on the sauce, and not wok fried well. I won't be ordering that again. My husband ordered the regular pork ramen, and he said he liked it. I thought the meat in general tasted bland. This happens to pork after braising it for long periods of time, and then keeping it in the fridge for more than a couple of days. The meat really loses its flavor. I make my own braised pork belly and ramen soup back in the US, and it happened to my pork as well. You will find that good Asian food is really hard to find here.

We enjoyed a delicious lunch of pork ramen, beef noodles, a lemonade, and lychee iced tea - all really fresh and flavorful. We could have used with some extra condiments like vinegar or spicy chili paste that you would normally find in Asian restaurants, but otherwise, it was a great meal. Paid 80000 COP including tax and tip.Service was quick and staff was friendly. Would definitely come back to try their sandwich and rice bowls.

Went here for dinner and got spicy rice sushi triangles for starters and they were delicious. We actually went back again for them the next day as a snack. For mains we ordered pho, I love pho and this one was good not amazing but still very enjoyable The staff were very friendly and the prices were reasonable for the area

I LOVED eating at Formosa. The food was incredible, the restaurant was newly designed and extremely modern, and the service was excellent. This was by far my favorite restaurant to go to while in Medellin! Highly recommend

There is a growing number of Asian restaurants in Medellin and all of them worthwhile. This is the first taiwanese in this city. The menu has many different interesting options. Good service. Every dish is really well crafted and the flavors seem authentic. Teas, Coffee and deserts very good.
