Ernesto's Fine Mexican Food - McKinney

Excellent!. We have been Ernesto 's patrons for years at Pilot Point and Prosper and followed our team to the Custer 380 location when it first opened... we have to drive extra to get here but this is our 'go to ' restaurant for good food and exceptional service. We were not aware of this review service until now and can 't believe the negative comments. We have been there from lunch to dinner, any day of the week, with any multiple wait staff, at a table or the bar, with just my husband and I or parties as large as 15 and have ALWAYS had a positive, enjoyable experience. It starts with your manager; Jose was an outstanding waiter, so makes an awesome manager and Carlos finishes out the management team as the Assistant Manager perfectly. Both of these young men care about every aspect of the customer experience and it shows... One Friday evening, the restaurant was very busy, so we had dinner at the bar and just observed the teamwork that has been created at this location... it did not matter whose table had drinks ready at the bar if one of the other waiters was available, they gathered the drinks and delivered to the correct table.. another waiter might be passing a table that just emptied and they would gather up several of the dishes to help clear for the next customers, and Jose was delivering food... You can see the camaraderie among the team. And the salsa is a win win... you have the regular, chunky, flavorful stuff for me, that I LOVE and the 'hot ' stuff that can be requested for my husband, which he loves. I have been in the customer service business for over 25 years and will put this team up at the top of list. Bravo Ernesto!

Cute and good family restaurant!!! And i dont know whty i was surprised but fiod was sooooo good . Didn't get to try the margaritas but will next time so can't vouch for the bar!

Food is average tex mex. nothing special. However margaritas are really strong and good.

Pretty good/ average Tex Mex. I'd definitely go back. We had no problem getting seated even on a Friday night. Not awesome but a great local place if you live nearby. Only downfall was it was pretty busy and noisy. There is nothing to absorb sound at all. I love the mosaic chandelier!

Great neighborhood restaurant. My husband and I visited Ernesto's tonight. We were promptly and courteously greeted at the door and seated at a table. Our waiter, Hector, was very attentive to our needs. For us, the first indication of a good Mexican restaurant are the chips and salsa. The chips were crispy and fresh, and the salsa was just the way we like it. Our food arrived at the table no more than 5 minutes after we ordered, and it was hot and delicious. We will definitely be back!
