Dickey's Barbecue Pit - McKinney

I've been eating Dickey's BBQ for over 25 years. A group of us used to go there for lunch before I retired. Love the sauce. I like the turkey and hot links. Always enjoyed a cone of the soft serve vanilla at the end of my meal. I like to go through the drive through nowadays and bring it home with me.

Their barbecue is okay oh, but I still consider them the fast-food BBQ place like I would McDonald's or Whataburger for a hamburger. Of course their prices recently have begun to get out of sight.

I come a few times a month for lunch. I’ve never had a bad meal or service. The food has always been at the right temperature (hate cold food that should be hot) and been full of flavor. The service is prompt so there’s no waiting. They’ve got ample inside seating and a nice view along with a few TVs to chill out afterwards. Plenty of unsweetened and sweet tea! Don’t know what to get? I struggle sometimes too. Try the chicken and beef (westerner) on a long bun. Coleslaw and jalapeño beans are sure to please. Restrooms are clean! Hope you enjoy as much we I do.

The food at this location was so fresh and delicious. I had a Turkey plate with dill potato salad and macaroni and cheese. The staff was friendly and obviously took a lot of pride in their restaurant. I definitely recommend you stop by for a visit to this location.
