Jexal's - McHenry

We had a fantastic time at this charming little gem! Although it may not look like much from the outside, the interior is surprisingly spacious and far larger than it appears. The staff is incredibly friendly, and our server Zach was outstanding—personal, attentive, and funny. It’s also important to mention his reliable coworker Nate, who added to the fun and made our experience even better. The prices are reasonable, and the food tastes fresh. The signature drinks are excellent as well. Overall, this delightful spot in Crystal Lake/McHenry is definitely worth revisiting!

I visited this restaurant with my parents for the first time last week. It was quite busy, but we were seated on a heated outdoor terrace that was both quiet and comfortable. The service was prompt and attentive, and our food arrived in a timely manner. I ordered a side of sweet chili boneless wings and the Jexels chicken sluice. The wings weren't overly saucy, which I appreciated, and they were a decent size for boneless wings. The chicken dish was unique, featuring pecans, and served in a satisfying portion. The avocado spread was flavorful and paired beautifully with the chicken and bacon. If you're a fan of burgers and wings in a bar setting, I think this place offers a pleasant atmosphere, excellent service, and quality food for around $20. I definitely plan to return.

Today, while we were out exploring dining options in the area, we decided to stop at this restaurant for a bite to eat. We had our service dog, Joey, with us, and we weren't sure how he would behave. Thankfully, he was calm and well-behaved on the terrace. My wife and I were very pleased with the staff; they were incredibly helpful and always greeted us with a smile! The food was delicious and plentiful for our meal. Our server even brought Joey a bowl of water with a little ice in it, which he absolutely loved! We will definitely be back. I love this place. Second home for me! Here is the Mussels appetizer, the Spinach Dip (with melted cheese on top-Yummy) with Pita chips, and of course the absolutely amazing Amy. The property and the employees are phenomenal and I would recommend this place to everyone!!

I recently moved to McHenry and decided to try Jexal's for the first time tonight (01/24). I placed an order for delivery around 7p.m. The girl that took my order was very polite and professional. I ordered a pizza and wings and was told they'd arrive within the hour. I was somewhat surprised when only 30 minutes later an extremely friendly young lady delivered my food. Both the pizza and wings were fantastic, and the only downside to my experience was the fact that they forgot the ranch I ordered to go with my wings. I did receive carrots and celery, which I didn't ask for, so I'm not sure if they automatically come with the wings. Either way the food was delicious and I will definitely be ordering again, I'll just make sure I have my own ranch on hand next time!!
