Backwoods Grill - McGregor

This is a restaurant, not a hotel, so not sure why this asks about rooms. It is in a old western town looking building and decorated the same. They offer a small buffet, as well as a good salad bar. We tried two different sandwiches , brisket Philly and a bar b q bacon sandwich and split them. Both were very good. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive.

This is our third time staying here, the first time was excellent. The second time in 2021 you tell the rooms not so clean, below average. This pasted weekend not good. Wet hand towel, no coffee, refrigerator was dirty, very dirty floors. The room could use a chair or two. Questioning if we will return. I am so disappointed.Safety: QuiteFood drinks: Everything in the bar and grill was excellent.

The people are nice and accommodating. The room could have been in better shape. The heater smelled and was extremely loud. The TV was very small for the room size. The coffee pot was in bad shape, with only sugar and stir sticks available, no coffee or tea. The bed was extremely hard, very uncomfortable. There was no chair in the room. It would have been nice to sit outside and enjoy the weather, no chair was on the porch. I left my visit early since I felt very uncomfortable.Nearby activities: Nicely located to visit the stores in McGregor .
