Bidrage med feedbackMy husband and I have been craving Chicago deep dish pizza. With no plans to travel to Chicago anytime soon, we decided to order some carryout pizzas from Chicago Pizza in McCordsville. We ended up ordering a small deep dish pizza. It was their signature pizza called 'the hurt ', double pepperoni. A small comes with 8 slices, about $12, and feeds 2 to 3 people. There was also a lot of boasting about the world famous bread sticks so we decided to give them a try as well. The pizza was really good. I still haven 't found any Indy pizza chains that really make a true deep dish. They all just seem to be almost a deep dish, like if a deep dish and a personal pan pizza had a baby. Usually one slice of a real deep dish can feel me up because it 's loaded with toppings on an even thicker and more filling crust. Although this was not really the case for the deep dish at Chicago 's, it was a very tasty pizza. The sauce was tart without being too overpowering and the crust was fluffy and good. The bread sticks, those I would definitely say earn a title for being world famous! They don 't look like much, but they pack so much flavor. We chose the nacho cheese sauce to accompany the bread sticks and did not regret it. I 'm interested to go back on a Wednesday and try the buffet I 've heard about. Will definitely visit again.
This was an unexpected 5! Most of the time, you don't figure that a pizza place can really blow you out of the water, but WOW! We had a pizza and a pitcher of beer. The pizza was a classic crust, all meat pizza. Was probably about a 10 inch with 6 pieces. The only domestic beer they had (or that he listed) was Miller Lite. Plenty to fill 2 people I'd say. We ended up even taking a slice home. The prices were great. The pitcher needed up making a pint of beer around $4. The small pizza was a little pricey, however I feel like an pizza, you have to get a large to get the best value. There were plenty of toppings and cheese and the perfect amount of sauce. The dough and crust were to die for! Parking right outside of the store, so no worries there. We will definitely be back!
Disappointed that they changed their hours for the buffet (11-1:30) and won't let you pay if you're a few minutes late with plenty of options left.
You have to at least select one star otherwise I would not have. Where to begin? There was no one in the restaurant that was 21 years old so I could not get a beer. A couple near us had the same issue. I got the salad bar and my husband had a pizza and breadsticks. The breadsticks were not cooked thoroughly. Just a bunch of limp dough. Gross. My husband said his pizza was ok . The salad bar was horrible. Not refreshed, stale vegetables, frozen then thawed vegetables, dirty bar overall and the lettuce was not fresh. The dining area was not extremely dirty but more so unkempt. The only highlight? Our server was kind and prompt and apologetic for the no-beer issue. We tipped her accordingly.
I have been there several times and keep coming back because I have enjoyed the place however this last time salad bar wasn't as good I like blue cheese dressing and a blue cheese dressing this time seem to be watered down are they have switch brands to a cheaper brand it wasn't nearly as good I hope they switch back are all discontinued going there for that
