The Royal Buffet - McCook

So this place has a bad wrap. But the food we got was delicious. The building itself is not in the best shape but covid really hit them hard. Don’t be afraid to give them a shot!

Poor lighting inside and no Chinese music makes for a dreary experience.

Food was good, got a good portion and it was all hot. Tables were very sticky and so was the floor around us. Floor staff didnt engage much and was on technology the whole time we were there. Also very poor lighting.

We (my boyfriend and I are obsessed! The owner is friendly and pleasant (sometimes overly so, the portions are huge so we can munch on it during the weekend, and during Covid the food is made to order, which I actually prefer more than the buffet! We come every couple of weeks.

The food was excellent! The staff were very friendly! My order arrived quickly, and the portion sizes were impressively generous—almost too much!
