Restaurant Munchkins - Mazatlán

Excelente lugar con ambiente familiar, costillas BBQ es el enfoque, y si eres aficionado y valiente, pides "all you can eat"

I am very patient when I go try new restaurants, but I can only tolerate and wait for sooo looooong. Food wasn't great either , beans smelled bad, small portions .

As themes go, this is one Mexican eatery that leads the way -- or not. Everything in here is a kitschy mash-up of the great Renaissance and the Battle of the Alamo. Not to be outdone by all those sports bars in the vicinity, Munchkins is topped off with a liberal installment of flat-screened TVs blasting all-American sports channels, assuming wrestling is a sport. But who cares? When the owners finished decorating, they obviously chose to make splendid food. If you have a large appetite, don't hesitate to ask for the ribs as we did. They may or may not be the best in town, but easily a close second.

We must have ordered the wrong things; chicken wings and chicken fingers. It should not take 35 minutes to rustle this up. The food was adequate for what we ordered, but not any better or worse that other restaurants of this ilk.

Went for dinner here the first night spent in Mazatlán. I got the ribs and my friend got the coconut shrimp. The coconut shrimp were the best I had ever had and the bbq ribs were fall off the bone tender and the size of my thigh! We were only in Mazatlán for a week and we went to munckins 3 times while we were there. A must go if you're into good ribs
