Bidrage med feedbackWe had the camaron al coco and the pescado zarandeodo. we ate right on the beach with a fantastic view of the picturesquecon.
For years we have enjoyed running the pastel conus in mazatlan, from north to south, and stopping in the southern quarter of the Palapa restaurants, north of the fish statue, for some delicious fish and frosty beers. this time we stopped at el pirata sabroso and enjoyed a perfectly boiled red snapper in the style of zarandeado. the chef let me inspect all the fish (both check the kiemen) we have agreed on a price of 400 pesos for this fish. the fish was filled, seasoned with special sauces, spread on an aluminum foil on a BBQ rack and covered with thinly cut poblano peppers, wobble and tomatoes. that was delicious musy sabroso eaten with mais tortillas. the service was a bit dirty, although my Spanish is pretty good. the pico de gallo was almost all swirling, for the beautiful fish and 4 pacificos was the price 500 pesos less than $30us!

This time we stopped at El Pirata Sabroso and enjoyed a perfectly cooked red snapper in zarandeado style. The chef let me inspect the whole fish (smelling it, checking the gills). We agreed on a price - 400 pesos for this fish. The fish was filleted, seasoned with special sauces, spread out on aluminum foil on a BBQ rack and covered with thinnly sliced poblano peppers, onion and tomato. This was delicious - muy sabroso - eaten with corn tortillas. Service was a bit spotty - even though my spanish is pretty good. The pico de gallo was almost all onions, For the lovely fish and 4 Pacificos the price was 500 pesos - less than $30US!
